Finally Nougat is here…….

So, Finally, it's here. A very much talked *obviously in a good manner* the next version of Android "Nougat" 7.0 launched recently in August 2016 and provided first services to Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G.

As we know, Android is well-known for bringing something innovative and amusing with every update. Thus, it's indeed having so many expectations from it by Users as well as Developers.

Android 7.0 brings some really cool features and enhancements that can make your app stand out from the rest. Let's check it out.

  • Java 8 features are available

  • All the hardcore programmers know it very well that Java 8 language features are like a boon to them. Especially for those who don’t like to hit the keyboard constantly. Alas, the irony is it doesn't support on Android..!

But here comes the boom, on Android Nougat all these features can be accessed using Jack toolchain..! Isn't it cool..?

  • Split Screen Multi-Window Feature

  • Multi-window screen might not sound to amusing or new to the Samsung users, because they have already used it earlier...but for other Android users this is the new Fish in the market.

Imagine, on one side you're watching your favorite series on Netflix and on the other side you can chat with your partner...Life would be so simple..Right..?ᅠ

Yes, the same thing is available in Nougat. You can use more than one app on a single screen at same time. Moreover, you can also customize the width of the split screens. Doze the Battery Feature of saving battery was introduced in Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which provided great results in reducing the battery consumption. Now, in addition to that in Android 7.0 Nougat, Doze has become much more efficient and powerful.

So even when you're using a phone it'll consume less power as well as while being idle it will save much power by reducing network frequencies. So, that's again very useful feature.
  • Block the Number

  • Each of us wants to get rid of irritating fellows.Sometimes that irritation can be reached at its peak. At that time you don't have any other option rather than block that person.*I know you can punch him in the face if he's in front.*

So, Nougat provides facility to block user selected numbers from getting any kind of calls or SMS. The most fascinating thing is no matter whichever app you use, the person in this block list will never be able to reach to you.

Even if you backup and restore the device, the block list will remain the same.

So, I guess these are the features that's going to rule in the market and will increase user experience.Apart from that there are also many features in OS Nougat.

All the above content is written by a point of view of a user. For Android Developers there are lots of new APIs and enhancements, will post about it some other time.
